Privacy Policy

CurbMerge uses limited information to operate real-time public curb parking handoffs. This policy explains what information may be collected, how it is used, and the choices available to users.

Information we may collect

• Location information: precise or approximate device location when permission is granted, used to place offers, display nearby handoffs, navigate to a claimed spot, and support safety or reliability features.
• App identifiers: an internal user or device identifier used to associate offers, claims, completions, reliability data, and beta activity.
• Handoff information: offered coordinates, timestamps, status, claim and verification events, shared handoff codes, cancellations, abandonments, and completion records.
• Diagnostics and feedback: crash reports, performance data, device and operating-system information, and feedback submitted through TestFlight or support.
• Weather context: if enabled in a future build, weather conditions associated with a location may be used to calculate Curb Pressure.

How information is used

• Operate and synchronize giver/receiver handoffs.
• Display nearby offers and open Apple Maps navigation.
• Calculate reliability, aggregate beta metrics, and improve the product.
• Detect abuse, troubleshoot failures, and protect users and the service.
• Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Location data

Location is sensitive. CurbMerge should request it only when needed for app functionality. CurbMerge does not intend to sell precise location data or use it for third-party advertising. During beta, location retention should be limited to what is reasonably necessary for handoff operation, testing, security, and dispute review.

Sharing

Information may be processed by service providers that host or support the app, Apple services used for distribution, maps, diagnostics, or weather, and authorities when legally required. CurbMerge does not claim to provide anonymity against lawful process.

Retention

Data may be retained for as long as needed to operate the beta, maintain security and reliability records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods should be finalized before public launch.

Your choices

You may deny or revoke location access in iOS Settings, but core features may not function. You may request support regarding your information through the contact details on the Support page.

Children

CurbMerge is not intended for children under 13 and should not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the beta evolves. Material changes will be reflected by revising the effective date and, where appropriate, providing notice.
